Best, Cleanest Soda I’ve Ever Had

If you can find it, you gotta check out the best (and relatively healthy) soda I’ve ever tried.

Now, aside from the occasional root/birch beer I stopped drinking traditional soda a long time ago. But here and there I’ll try some of the healthy alternatives like Hansens or Izze. But both of those still have sugar in them.

Along comes Oogavé.

Very clean taste, great flavors (I love the Watermelon Cream) and, best of all, no sugar. Instead, it’s sweetened with agave nectar. Damn is it good stuff. Find it at a location near you. And then let me know what you think.

Dawud Wharnsby – Out Seeing the Fields

Absolutely love this song. I can close my eyes and travel to high mountain fields I’ve walked in. Dawud’s music can be found here: http://www.wharnsby.com/

John Taylor Gatto Interviewed by Lennart Mogren

If you don’t know the work of John Taylor Gatto and you’ve either been educated in the west or you have children who are, you must watch this. It’s a great beginning into John’s study of how our education system has been orchestrated the past 120 years or so to get the exact results we see today. Mind opening and not conspiracy theory.

Are You Living Your Passion?

I keep thinking more and more about my life, my work and place in the world. Am I really doing the work and living the life that at my fullest potential? I don’t mean near…I mean at. I can definitely say ‘no.’

It’s not that I don’t love what I do for my clients building websites, teaching WordPress, coaching clients on how to build a following and get more clients using the web and showing people how to use social media effectively. I really love it. And often I’m passionate about it – especially the teaching part.

Time to take a little deeper look at what I could be doing. I’m pretty clear I only got one shot at this life and I don’t plan on spending too much of it doing things I’m not absolutely passionate about. Stay tuned…

Marketing Roulette

This darn Gary Vaynerchuk guy has it right, I think. Take a watch of this 5 minute clip from CNBC. (sorry a bit of the bottom got cut off. CNBC wouldn’t let me control the dimensions)

God I Love Being a Dad

I say it all the time. I love being a dad.

It’s the most rewarding thing I’ve ever done – while also being the most difficult. But there’s been no better set of lessons for me in my own life – and in my spiritual growth – than watching my kids and the affect I have on their development. I’ve learned again and again that their behaviors…their moods…their acting out and the like are more often a reflection of something inside me than it is in them. At least that’s how it is having young kids.

Now, to do my own work so that my shortcomings don’t become their’s long-term (which is something I think happens through prolonged reinforcement of my shortcomings).
